About the role
We are on the hunt for a remote Full Stack Mobile Software Developer who will report to our Product Manager. This person will work closely with our external app development team and internal Product Manager to craft and create new app features in JOLT's electric vehicle charging application.
Key responsibilities:
- Work across the full stack, designing and building highly scalable distributed app solutions in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements
- Work collaboratively with the Product Manager and external team of app designers to deliver an outstanding customer experience
- Estimate full life cycle development effort
- Support technical design and implementation of new projects from discovery through to deployment
- Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design
Technical Skills
- 2+ years of experience in full stack development, including exposure to mobile applications.
- Proficiency in NodeJS/Typescript and some hands-on experience in developing services in AWS Serverless, Lambda, Cognito, DynamoDB, etc.
- Exposure to React Native is preferred, and some familiarity with Flutter, React JS/Redux/Hooks, and TypeScript.
- Experience with JavaScript, ES6, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive application design for iOS and Android.
- Familiarity with React Native framework and some experience in developing mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms using React Native.
- Knowledge of AWS services for mobile app development.
- Familiarity with integrating third-party libraries and SDKs into React Native projects.
- Experience in integrating React Native applications with external public APIs, including RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, or other web service APIs. Familiarity with API documentation, authentication methods, and data formats (JSON/XML) is a plus.
- Understanding of handling API responses, parsing JSON data, and managing data synchronization between the app and the API.
- Exposure to cross-browser, cross-platform, cross-device compatibility issues.
- Ability to contribute to the rapid prototyping of applications to showcase new concepts and ideas.
- Willingness to learn and suggest new technologies and approaches.
- Exposure to Agile development methodologies is preferred.
- A customer-centric approach with some exposure to UI/UX best practices.
- Exposure to OCPI and OCPP protocol will be a plus, but not required for this position.
