Description
We are looking for forward thinking people to come join our Product Engineering, Research & Innovation team at CyberSmart. We build products, tools and technologies to make cybersecurity simple and accessible to everyone. We’re working to give every business, no matter how small, the tools to protect themselves easily and effectively. You will be joining our Product Engineering, Research & Innovation team, working directly with software engineers, DevOps engineers, QA engineers, product managers, designers and researchers, as well as other teams and people across our organisation.

We have been working as a hybrid company since the lockdown. We have an office in Shoreditch, London where you are welcomed to work from if you wish. Most of us work remote and are distributed across multiple locations. We also come together face to face at least once a quarter and some teams meet in person more often than others!

The DevOps role is central to our product engineering function. We have a great level of automation in place, great focus on infrastructure as code, cost and performance optimisation cycles as well as enhanced security (DevSecOps).
Key tasks and responsibilities for the role involve, but are not limited to:
- Maintain and improve our development tools, services and environments, including continuous integration (CI) and looking forward to continuous delivery/ deployment (CD)
- Design, implement and maintain cloud based SaaS products
- Support our infrastructure roadmap to allow for a scalable and secure product
- Supporting peers within the development cycle to improve and enhance our ‘ways of working’ within an agile environment
- Take a conscious role in Security & Compliance relating to our product, infrastructure, and ‘how we deliver’ at CyberSmart
- Support the infrastructure and release management of our Web, Desktop and Mobile applications
- Work together with Quality Assurance Automation, constantly shifting left on quality and security
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge and experience in AWS infrastructure
- Good knowledge of ECS, Terraform and Terragrunt
- Good knowledge and experience of automation and building tools and performance testing tools
- Good understanding of security impacts on each development phase and services.
- Experience implementing risk assessment techniques and knowledge of the latest security best practices
- Experience building and maintaining continuous integration pipelines (CircleCI preferable)
- Experience in container based technologies and strategies
- Strong knowledge of version control/Git
- Good experience with leading projects and making technical decisions: hands on experience in owning design and implementation decisions in relation to building & maintaining scalable solutions
- Experience in agile work environment with a Product company having either built, or lead within a continuous delivery lifecycle
- Excellent knowledge in state of the art software engineering practices
- Achievement oriented with proven skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Innovative problem solving skills with the proven ability to exercise flexibility and judgement.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability in applying sensitivity and professionalism when communicating across geographical and cultural boundaries.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable when dealing with change. An innovative thinker that can respectfully challenge the status quo and drive change.
