Our operational portfolio consists of more than three hundred large scale energy-generating companies. We take pride in our wind farms, solar power plants, and upcoming projects in energy storage and hydrogen. To support our ambitious growth plans and long-term ownership of energy assets, we are expanding our team.
We are embarking on a comprehensive transformation program designed to drive significant advancements in our business operations and technology landscape. Our primary goal is to transition from our current reliance on legacy systems and specialised off-the-shelf tools to a more integrated, AI-driven, and data-centric operational model.
Leveraging insights and guidance from our other technically mature entities like Kraken and OE, we plan to adopt cutting-edge tools and capabilities, particularly in AI and Python-driven solutions.
By investing in a diverse range of skills—from data scientists and AI specialists to business analysts—we aim to create a hybrid team capable of operating in both our legacy and future environments, ultimately transforming OEGEN into an efficient, data-driven organisation. The operating system we are building is at the cutting edge of investment management operations and reporting.
This position requires an average of 3 days in the office per week
What you'll do
- You will focus on identifying, building, and maintaining tech solutions/integrations to ensure the effective operations of our portfolio investments and management teams.
- Play a critical role within our multi-disciplined team, focusing on integrating and developing end-to-end technical applications, connecting third-party tools through APIs, and ‘hacking’ tailored solutions for specific business needs.
- System Integration: Develop and maintain integrations between various systems and tools to streamline operations.
- API Development: Design and manage APIs to connect third-party tools and internal systems.
- Automation: Utilise automation tools, APIs, and AI to create streamlined and automated processes, including the development of user interfaces that integrate with these systems.
- Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive, data-driven performance reports using tools such as Streamlit and Power BI. Design and refine user interfaces for these reporting tools to enhance user engagement and data accessibility.
- Data Management Processes: Design and implement data management applications and processes, including data collection, validation, storage, and access control.
- Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting, as well as to identify areas for improvement and growth.
- Innovation: Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Industry Trends: Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in data analytics, UI/UX design, and emerging technologies to ensure our portfolio remains competitive and innovative.
What you'll need
- Technical Expertise: Strong skills in integrating end-to-end solutions using APIs, and programming languages (Python, JavaScript, HTML). Proficiency in developing crisp reporting dashboards and designing user-friendly interfaces.
- Passion for Infrastructure: A strong dedication to building the operational infrastructure for our team, managing data, and establishing standards for reporting and management information.
- Innovation and AI: Keen interest in applying cutting-edge AI technologies in the corporate environment and developing custom GPTs.
- Attention to Detail: Enjoy getting deep into data – able to monitor and track KPIs, risks, opportunities, and actions with a keen eye for detail.
- UI/UX Design: Experience in creating intuitive and effective user interfaces, ensuring systems are accessible and user-friendly for all stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
