Here’s what you’ll be doing:
You will be working as part of an international team, driving our class-leading data platform forwards as well as developing greenfield data products to ‘sell’ to the business. You’ll get access to:

Reporting into James (our Data Engineering Manager), who’s hands on and interested in pretty much everything technology, you’ll be joining an amazing team of five data engineers.
As one of our Staff Data Engineers, you’ll:
- will be hands-on in developing our products
- be continuously developing a class leading data platform infrastructure
- be part of a larger centre of excellence of data specialists, looking after our Data, Business Intelligence, and ML platforms
- work in an agile environment, contributing ideas and helping to prioritise technical work
- work on a mixture of platform work and greenfield project initiatives, a really interesting mix of work
- have experience with Kotlin, Scala, Python, Spring, Snowflake, Kafka, Kafka streams, Flink, Airflow, Airbyte and AWS. We are always looking for new ideas
We’re looking for someone who is:
- passionate about coding – we use a cross section of JVM languages, as well as Ruby and Python. Expert in at least one JVM language, happy learning and picking up new skills and languages.
- experienced with Kafka, relational databases and AWS products
- experienced with SpringBoot, Graph Databases and Flink/Spark or similar would also be advantageous
- a good communicator, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts
- proactive in suggesting new tools, architecture, processes, and technologies
