What you will be doing

Working together with our product development and systems engineering teams, you will be responsible for turning advanced state estimation approaches into real-time capable software solutions using MATLAB/Simulink. You will be taking the responsibility to ensure that our control solutions are correctly implemented to enable our customers’ use cases in various industries and on diverse hardware platforms. Within the automotive, motorsport, robotics and consumer electronics industries you will help us develop and deploy state-of-the-art battery state estimation and control solutions.

In your work as a model-based controls engineer you will become an expert in advanced battery management solutions across a spectrum of applications. We will provide you with opportunities to develop your skills in software and controls engineering, such as attending seminars and workshops to advance your technical abilities.


Your responsibilities

  • Independently developing and verifying model-based controllers for battery management software
  • Working together with systems engineering to develop solutions that address our customers’ needs
  • Verifying and validating our software deliveries using modern unit and integration testing practises
  • Optimising the accuracy and computational performance of our product deliveries
  • Working on industry/academic joint projects
  • Working together with our embedded software developers to ensure the functionality of our products
  • Any additional work that may be deemed from time to time to be critical to product or company success

Requirements

  • Experience in real-time control and modelling techniques
  • Experience with controller development for in high-volume applications
  • Experience in model-based development (MATLAB/Simulink)
  • Experience with automotive standards (AUTOSAR, ISO26262, ASPICE) is a plus, but not essential
  • Experience with batteries is a plus, but not essential
  • Experience in Embedded C/C++ and Python is a plus, but not essential
  • A proactive and pragmatic approach to making things work
