Your role in our mission

We’re looking for a Business Operations Manager to join our Core Operations team. You will be leading a team of analysts, managing payment processes and reconciliations for all Salary Finance products as well as overseeing an off-shore function. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager you will be expected to measure the performance of key metrics and provide insights into product enhancement opportunities.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of back-office operational processes. The Business Operations Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient and effective management of tasks and processes. What you'll do

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of analysts and promote a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee end-to-end processes for our off-shore function, ensuring accountability for both productivity and quality of their tasks.
  • Work with the Core Operations leadership team to set team objectives and key results (OKRs) and to define performance standards and empower your team to achieve them.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.

Back-office Operations management:

  • Deliver reporting to key stakeholders on payment reconciliation and process performance for all Salary Finance products.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Work with your team to consistently meet high-quality standards and take responsibility for ensuring expected process output and quality.

Change management:

  • Help identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of operations.
  • Streamline financial reporting processes and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Facilitate communication, training, and stakeholder engagement to foster a positive change culture.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Mitigate operations risks through proactive identification and implementation of control checks.
  • Report on and attest to the agreed risk metrics in line with the company’s overall risk management strategy.

About you

  • You have strong people management skills and previous experience leading operations teams.
  • You have proven experience in managing and optimising operational processes end-to-end.
  • You have solid knowledge of financial regulations and compliance. Good knowledge of FCA is a plus.
  • You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • You are a great communicator, both verbal and written.
