Your role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join Ohme’s Data team. As a Data Analyst you will use your analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyse, and interpret large data sets to develop data-driven solutions for the business.

Requirements

As a Data Analyst you will be passionate about working with data and ensuring we build products that expose the value of that data. This role requires someone who is inquisitive and able to dig into data to answer questions. The perfect candidate for this role will have SQL experience, but most importantly a passion and drive to continually learn. Working together with the wider team, there are opportunities to upskill with a number of technologies used. Knowledge of python will be an added bonus.

You may well be a recent graduate looking for a step into a commercial environment or already have worked in data!

What you’ll be doing…

  • Collect and interpret data from various sources.
  • Analyse data using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
  • Use SQL to produce great pieces of analysis and insight to assist business decisions
  • Compare and contrast different data sources and outputs to ensure consistency and identify differences.
  • Work alongside teams within the business to understand business needs.
  • Report the results back to the relevant members of the business or the wider data team.

What we are looking for from you…

  • Knowledge of SQL – Either professionally or academically.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc).
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise and analyse large amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with a traditional BI applications such as Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight or Looker would be a plus.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
