Email Production Associate (Fixed Term)Mozilla

Remote UK 24-09-2023
Non-profit

The Mozilla Foundation is a nonprofit public benefit organization. Our mission is to ensure that the Internet is a global public resource, open and accessible to all. Join us and become part of our mission to promote openness, innovation, and opportunity online!

Twenty years ago, this meant building a browser and protecting the open web. Today, it also includes making sure AI and data driven technology is more trustworthy. In order to focus on places where Mozilla can impact the next era of our work, we are increasingly working on the topic of trustworthy AI. For us, this means especially two things: human agency is a core part of how AI is built and integrated, and corporate accountability is real and enforced.

The Email Production Associate will report to the Head of Supporter Engagement and be responsible for supporting a robust email program that serves the entire organization.

This role is critical for Mozilla Foundation to send timely and consistent email messages to its large email audience. We believe in lean data practices and support people’s autonomy in controlling their personal privacy on the web and those values are part of our email program’s DNA. That means our subscribers really want to hear from us (we have a double opt-in process) and that we have strong deliverability, but it also presents challenges in targeting and segmenting. The ideal candidate believes in the values that drive Mozilla and is willing to creatively tackle the unique challenges they present!

You will initially be engaged for 12 months, with the possibility of an extension or full time engagement  subject to performance review & organizational priorities.

You then will schedule or send emails and confirm successful launches of the content.
  • Handle content loading for our multi-lingual email program. You don't need to know the languages at all, but will need to be comfortable loading content translated into 6 different languages.
  • Monitor/report on all emails (including journeys) to drive consistency, adherence to process, and QA
  • Work within editorial calendar process to ensure consistent intake process for all Mozilla Foundation emails (i.e. ensure content is approved through that process and other approval processes)
  • Work across timezones, handing off and taking on work to/from colleagues in other regions to ensure smooth and efficient project completion
  • Occasional weekend work required, with appropriate time-in-lieu
