You will be responsible for establishing and managing our global finance technology strategy. This will involve responsibility for delivering finance systems across the Octopus Energy Group and support solutions that allow the Finance teams to perform their role as effectively as possible, and allow them to support the strategy of the wider business.

What you'll do

Project manage the implementation of a new ERP; setting clear timelines and progress targets for the implementation
Assist our review partner in assessing current finance processes and controls and manage transition to new end state finance processes and controls
Undertake testing of the new system, to assess suitability of design, user testing, assessing the processes/controls and making recommendations for adjustments
Working closely with internal and external finance and technical teams and evaluating how system changes will affect processes, controls, master data, and reporting

Following the implementation of the new system, the day to day work will be to;

Develop integrations for linked/supporting systems to the central ERP
Support ongoing improvements and roll outs of updates in conjunction with relevant vendors
Roll-out and implementation of the software to new acquisitions and internationals
Be responsible for training and hypercare delivery post go live for users
Day-to-day maintenance and management of finance systems (e.g. user access)

What you'll need

Extensive ERP experience, having run and project managed implementations in the past
Good understanding of data processing including SQL, data uploads, interfaces with other systems, data extraction and manipulation
NetSuite implementation experience is preferable but not essential
