Just like the iPhone revolutionised phones, Tesla kick-started the car revolution - and now every other manufacturer is racing to catch up - with >30 now available and more being launched every day. PLUS - the UK has almost twice as many places you can charge up your car publicly than you can fill up with petrol, and the government is investing a further £1.3bn into the network. Not to mention, many of us will just charge up at home overnight - like a mobile phone. So convenient. Octopus Electric Vehicles launched in 2018 to make it easy to make the switch to cleaner, greener driving. What you'll do

Work on a range of exciting web applications as part of a growing ecosystem of frontend apps and backend services
You will join a dedicated product team working on new propositions and improving existing experiences for both our customers and internal teams
Collaborate within a dedicated cross-functional squad drawn from a dynamic and diverse team at Octopus
Ensure a smooth end to end user experience using a modern frontend stack
Create performant experiences that work consistently across modern browsers and devices
Care about the code you write and its future maintainability
Be self-directed but enjoy collaboration, contributing ideas and sharing knowledge

What you'll need

Experience with React or similar JavaScript frameworks
Write solid, semantic HTML & CSS
Value fundamental coding principles and best practices
Experience with Python
Be confident taking ownership of the development of a project from inception through to delivery
Enjoy working with multiple data sources and designing expressive APIs
Write robust and fault-tolerant software
