THE ROLE
Key responsibilities
The Microsoft 365 content lead is a vital role within Agilisys and with their team manage technology delivery of medium to large-scale migrations, upgrades, solution improvements & customisations and include a variety of different Microsoft 365 collaboration solutions for business use cases. The role will provide many opportunities to show innovation and help our clients expand their use of the Microsoft 365 product suite.
Specific duties
Depending on the project, you will need to be comfortable doing the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management of the Content Services Team
- Lead the Content Services Team that is responsible for various tasks including Microsoft 365 ECMS/Collaboration Platform Design, Content Migrations to Microsoft 365, Microsoft 365 Information Architecture, and Power Platform.
- Provide direction, technical assurance, and solutions for a variety of concurrent projects.
- Define high level project timelines and support project managers with detailed project plan definition.
- Clearly articulate and identify risks, assumptions and dependencies for projects and programmes.
- Work closely with other Agilisys Practice leads, Programme and Project Managers, and Architecture leads and take direction from these Agilisys leads as required to deliver agreed solutions to clients meeting the expected quality and aligning with the proposals or statement of work packages.
- Customer Engagement and Solution Presentation
- Deliver M365 Art-of-the-Possible workshops to customers up to C-level.
- Author, refine and present M365 strategic and technical transformation roadmaps to customers up to C-level.
- Support the bid writing team with RFIs/RFQs/RFPs.
- Technical Delivery and Solution Development
- Define, optimise, continuously improve and present technical delivery methodologies.
- Deliver certain complex workstreams, such as compliance design and implementation, on selected projects.
- Rapidly learn and evaluate new Microsoft 365 features and technologies in order to include these in customer solution designs to provide new innovative solutions alongside new opportunities for existing clients.
- Develop consistent, reusable solutions using native SharePoint Online / Teams / OneDrive for Business functionality and avoiding customisation unless necessary to achieve goals.
Role Objectives:
- Take ownership of the growing Content Services practice and of the end-to-end design and delivery for Microsoft 365 content and collaboration workloads.
- Bring technology insights and industry best practice to shape and deliver solutions for clients, bringing with them a creative vision for improvement.
- Set and measure KPIs for the Collaboration Architects that will feed into bi-annual performance reviews and establish methods to capture customer success metrics for projects so that these can also be associated with the Architects.
- Provide transformation guidance and service maturity roadmaps for new and existing clients.
- Conduct M365 Art-of-the-Possible Workshops and advise customers how to implement best practice solutions up to C-level.
- Enable and advise customers in their journey to the cloud.
- Mentor skilled architects and develop skillsets, capabilities and best practices.
- Provide guidance on AI driven classification, knowledge management and & Records Management solutions.
- Drive & support high levels of technical certification across the team.
- Manage key stakeholder and partnership relationships.
Key Understanding Needed:

- Evaluate new Microsoft 365 capabilities against business need, suggesting opportunities for new solutions or improving client business outcomes.
- Work in a consultative manner with our clients, ensuring that our solutions will help them achieve their desired outcomes.
- Work closely with other Agilisys Practice leads, Programme and Project Managers, and Architecture leads and take direction from these Agilisys leads as required to deliver agreed solutions to clients meeting the expected quality and aligning with the proposals or statement of work packages.
- Foster a collaborative approach by building and nurturing strong relationships with stakeholders, both within Agilisys and with external partners, to achieve shared goals and deliver exceptional outcomes.

Opportunity
We are in search of a Content Services Specialist with a strong background in SharePoint and recent experience in all Microsoft 365 content and collaboration workloads (MS Teams / SharePoint / OneDrive for Business).
The ideal candidate should have significant knowledge of the Microsoft 365 platform and services, with an extensive background in SharePoint technologies including SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server. Experience in leading and delivering migrations to SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams is essential.
This includes migrations from Shared Drives, Home Drives, and SharePoint Server, as well as pre-migration discovery and preparation.
The candidate should also have experience in tenant level administration and controls, including configuration & administration of SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
Previous deployment of Microsoft Teams for collaboration, a strong understanding of OneDrive for Business, and the ability to lead on the design of Microsoft 365 Information Architecture is also required.
ABOUT YOU
The candidate should have expert knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft Teams permissions management, and extensive experience of governance for SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive for Business.
This includes knowledge of Microsoft Information Protection and advanced E5 security workloads. Proficiency in other collaboration and productivity tools such as Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Loop, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Bookings, Sway, and Stream is also necessary.
A solid understanding of security and compliance features in Microsoft 365, including different licensing models, is required. Experience in delivering modern intranets using SharePoint Online including Viva Connections (and ideally Viva Engage) is desirable.
Knowledge of PowerShell / PnP experience / SharePoint CSOM, SharePoint KQL and CAML Queries, and understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA for accessibility is also beneficial.
The candidate should have strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills, with experience in working with customers to gather and document both functional and technical requirements.
The candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in IT consulting and at least 3 years of experience as a Solution Architect. The ideal candidate will have worked for at least 3 years in the UK Public sector in Local Government, Central Government, the NHS, or Policing.

- Deep technical knowledge in Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, the Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Purview Information Protection and Retention, SharePoint Premium, and Microsoft Viva.
- Significant experience of Information Architecture, migrating from Network File Shares and SharePoint Server to Microsoft 365 and designing SharePoint based Intranets and Knowledge Portals.
- Understanding of IdAM, Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 Authentication options for automated solutions, AAD B2B Collaboration for External Guests and AAD B2B Connect.
- Excellent comprehension of Microsoft 365 best practice information architecture including the use of Hub sites, Term Sets, Content types and Content Type hubs, Site Columns, Lists and Libraries.
- Understanding of extensibility features of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online such as SPFx Webparts, Teams Messaging Extensions, Adaptive Cards, Graph Connectors and RSS Feed syndication.
- Experience of Microsoft 365 PowerShell modules including Microsoft PnP (Patterns and Practices), SharePoint Online and Microsoft Graph REST APIs and capabilities, and Azure Automation architecture such as Azure Functions and Runbooks.
- Understanding of Microsoft 365 licensing models and constraints, a wide range of Project Management methods such as Agile, Waterfall, and Prince, risk and dependency management, and Microsoft AI solutions related to Content Services.
- Certifications in Microsoft 365 and/or exams, ideally MS-700, MS-500, SC-400, PL-900, PL-400, previous MCSE productivity certification with MS 70-339, and TOGAF certification.
- Ability to achieve UK Government Security Check (SC) clearance which includes demonstrating residency in the UK for 5 years or more.
- Strong communication (both written and verbal), presentation and analytical skills, and ability to communicate at all levels and provide information to a diverse stakeholder group.
- Understanding of various architectures such as Enterprise Architecture, Transformation Architecture, Platform Architecture, Network Architecture, Identity Architecture (IdAM), Security Architecture, Migration Architecture/Approach, Solution Architecture, Information Architecture, Information Governance, Integration Architecture, Application Architecture, Scalability Architecture, Data Architecture, Failover and High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR).
