We’re making electric vehicle ownership as smart and as simple as possible, by building the giant, virtual charging platform of the future.

In just over two years, Octopus Electroverse has grown to become one of the largest eMobility players in Europe, with over 650,000 connected electric vehicle chargers and a customer ecosystem spanning web, iOS, Android, CarPlay, Android Auto & Automotive OS, and more.

But it’s just the start: we’re busy launching in new countries, working with more automotive and tech partners, building exciting new features at scale, and creating the integrated charging experiences of the future - all in the name of making public EV charging super simple for customers.

Electroverse is a multifunctional team made up of product, development, commercial, operations, marketing, partnerships and more - all focused together on making Octopus the go-to name in EV charging. And we’re looking for smart individuals with an interest in the space who can help us make it happen.

For this role, we are looking for a strong generalist, comfortable engaging with all aspects of country operations, growth, and delivery. Reporting to the Commercial Director of Electroverse, you’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to help ensure the success of our international expansion. 

In a single day, you could take the role of project manager, researcher, commercial analyst and product designer. We’re looking for someone who enjoys variety and can keep a wide vision and priorities in mind whilst diving in (and out!) of required detail.

Whilst we’re not looking for a specific background, you’ll bring good commercial instinct, an understanding of customer experience and marketing principles, and a focus on delivery. 

The eMobility industry and Electroverse as a product are rapidly expanding, and are a hugely important part of decarbonising the planet - you’ll have a key part to play from day one informing strategic decisions and supporting our capability to scale the business at pace. 

What you'll do...

    • Identify market-specific opportunities & requirements, and adapt our approach accordingly. For example, understanding licensing requirements or different consumer behaviours in a new market: you’ll spot these, communicate the opportunity, and help implement the changes.
    • Be willing to get stuck into the details and delivery when improving the product and launching in new markets.
    • Monitor market performance through reporting & analytics - and help shape how these insights should grow.
    • Be part of evaluating and delivering ad-hoc opportunities: be it a new region looking for charging solutions or a vehicle manufacturer looking to partner with Electroverse across Europe.
    • Be a liaison point with any in-country contacts (e.g. Octopus European offices).
    • Contribute to the product roadmap and ideas that help further our international growth.

What you'll have...

    • Experience in similar project management roles working cross-functionally and being super hands-on!
    • A passion for the EV industry - experience in the space would be a bonus

We would prefer someone who can work in our London office but will consider remote candidates. However, you do need to be able to work in the UK.
