The Role

As the sole team member of the internal IT team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our team, ensuring that our IT services meet the required service level objectives and targets through the implementation of standardised processes. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will contribute to the growth of the department and provide support to the expanding business.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Provide 1st & 2nd Line remote technical support to the internal team (40+ employees).
  • Understand, log, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical support and service requests from the team, ensuring their support needs are met to a high standard.
  • Assist with onboarding new team members to the business, including configuring new laptops/desktops and software.
  • Perform repairs and upgrades to hardware and software.
  • Maintaining an inventory of hardware and software.
  • Complete standard scheduled maintenance tasks as required.
  • Assist with hardware and software procurement.
  • Understanding the business needs and recommend IT solutions to optimise workflows.
  • Identify and recommend system changes to improve efficiency, reliability, performance, security, and team member experience.
  • Document, implement and review processes and procedures to support IT services as necessary.

Requirements

  • Ability to work from our HQ in Hackney Wick, London for no less than 4 days per week.
  • Previous experience in an IT support role.
  • Experience in a mixed environment (Windows and Mac), primarily Windows 11.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft O365 environment, including managing Emails, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive etc.
  • Experience managing SaaS products such as Anti-Virus, Asset management.
  • Good understanding of Azure AD, DNS.
  • Experience with Ubiquiti products.
  • Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Passion for IT and strong technical aptitude.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented.

Nice to have:

  • Exposure in using Google applications (Gmail, Google Drive).
  • Experience in supporting Slack and Adobe Suite.
  • Previous experience working in a startup environment.
  • A professional IT qualification
