The Manager, Marketing - United Kingdom (UK) is responsible for the success of all Granicus marketing investments and activities in the UK. This role will develop, execute, and continuously refine our UK marketing strategy and ensure it is aligned with business priorities and targets within the region.
 
The Manager, Marketing - UK will plan and lead the execution of all regional marketing activities and in-country resources with support from the Granicus global product marketing, marketing communications, and marketing operations teams. You will utilise your knowledge of the UK market, data-driven insights, and experience with business-to-government technology marketing best practices to develop and implement effective strategies, compelling brand messages, relevant content, and multichannel campaigns that support sales growth.
 
As the owner of all UK marketing functions, you will work in close collaboration with local marketing staff, the global marketing organisation, UK sales and business leadership, and the Granicus senior leadership team. You'll develop, implement, and measure full-funnel campaigns that increase awareness, generate demand, meet market-specific goals, and accelerate pipeline and revenue growth.
 
In this “player-coach” role you will report to the US-based Vice President of Segment Marketing and manage one UK-based direct report as well as external resources. This position is based in our London office and can work remotely within the UK.

What your impact will look like:

    • Provide marketing strategy and execution for the UK market to support the achievement of local sales targets.
    • Act as the primary marketing contact and strategic marketing partner for the UK leadership and sales teams.
    • Create, develop, implement, and optimise full-funnel, integrated lead generation campaigns using best practice approaches for business-to-government marketing.
    • Plan and supervise the execution of digital marketing campaigns, events, awareness campaigns, and Account-Based Marketing (ABM) initiatives that drive pipeline and revenue for the UK business.
    • Develop and lead the UK event marketing strategy to include execution of the annual event calendar for external trade shows and conferences as well as Granicus hosted events, roundtables, virtual events, and webinars.
    • Manage, mentor, and oversee the activities of a UK-based Marketing Specialist to ensure timely execution of marketing activities while facilitating their career growth.
    • Analyse the UK market and Granicus customers, buyers, and competitors to identify actionable insights and priorities that maximise our go-to-market success.
    • Localise product marketing materials and global campaigns to ensure their relevance to the UK market.
    • Own, analyse, and communicate the strategy, execution, and metrics of the demand generation funnel, including inquiries, MQLs, SALs, SQLs and pipeline; gather feedback on program performance and sales needs.
    • Write and communicate localized market messages in a variety of media: eBooks, whitepapers, webinars, infographics, advertisements, email and more.
    • Collaborate with the sales organization and Business Development Representatives to monitor campaign performance and optimise inbound and outbound sales to support lead generation and pipeline creation.
    • Establish effective and collaborative working relationships with centralised US-based marketing teams (product marketing, marketing communications, and marketing operations) to represent the priorities of the UK business and secure appropriate support and resources for local campaigns.
    • Coordinate with technology partners on joint marketing and sales activities to support business priorities and extend audience reach.
    • Oversee the UK content calendar and collaborate with centralised marketing teams to create marketing materials, blog posts, podcasts, and related deliverables.
    • Build awareness and preference for Granicus solutions through local public relations, thought leadership, and branding activities.
    • Perform other relevant duties as required.

You'll love this job if:

    • Managerial level or higher with a minimum of 5 years of experience in SaaS marketing within the UK region and 2 years of personnel management experience.
    • Public sector marketing experience (ideally in UK Local and/or Central Government) is preferred.
    • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience working directly with sales teams to support their goals and initiatives.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build internal and external relationships with colleagues and executives; must be comfortable presenting to and communicating with executive audiences and geographically dispersed colleagues.
    • Ability to proactively manage multiple projects, work independently, and thrive in a lean, dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    • Familiarity with digital marketing tools, CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and ABM technologies.
