Description

About Us

We’re a full-scale, energy-saving, B-Corp certified, sustainably powered vertical farm. We’re on a mission to transform the farming system forever, so that everyone can afford tasty nutritious food, that doesn’t cost the earth. Literally.

In other words: we boldly grow where no one has grown before. Our state-of-the-art salad leaves are made possible by an incredible team of rocket scientists (see what we did there?), engineers, leaf whisperers, and a root network of fabulous people. Which brings us onto the role

Your Role

If you eat, sleep and breathe data, you’ve got a passion for food and want to be part of building the UK’s sustainable food system then we should definitely have a chat. We’re on a mission to apply knowledge and science to grow the right plants, in the right place, in the right way. At the heart of that mission is great food and the data that dreams are made of.

As a BI Analyst, you will play a key role in analysing complex data sets to develop insights and strategies that will help our clients achieve their business goals. You will be an integral part of our team, working collaboratively with other analysts and stakeholders to design and implement data-driven solutions that will drive business value and growth. You are driven, passionate about data and enabling stakeholders to access high quality data and importantly, always willing, and curious to learn new things. The role is hybrid, so 3 days a week working remotely, and the rest of the days at either of our Support Offices in London or Leaf Lab in Cambridge.

All the responsibilities we will trust you with:

  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization to define data models that efficiently serve the business needs.
  • Gather business requirements and transform them into user stories that you prioritise and maintain in a backlog (Jira, etc.)
  • Experience with managing data product development tasks using Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban).
  • Create business success metrics for our data products.
  • Help developers to estimate their workload effort so that the development process is as efficient and smooth as possible.
  • Promote a data culture across the organisation.

  • At least 2 years' of experience in data analysis, with a focus on business intelligence.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with large and complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools like Power BI, ThoughtSpot, Databricks, Grafana.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
