The Role

As Senior Software Engineer you will join an established division that is considered as the backbone of the company, connecting products to customers and building new platforms and apps to help streamline services. Working in a tech-centric environment, you will play a pivotal role in a product that is set out to disrupt the marketplace.

What are your objectives

Due to the seniority of this role your objective will be two-fold; you will be expected to manage scrums, provide mentoring/coaching wherever possible, maintain a idea sharing and encouraging environment, whilst also using your technical hands-on knowledge/experience of coding, microservices, REST APIs etc. to contribute to the streamlining of services, building new platforms & apps, digital transformations and much, much more.

What experience will help

• Must be an excellent communicator - you'll be the focal point for a team of junior & mid-level Developers who will look to you for advice, mentoring, and input.
• Having good commercial awareness and business experience will come in handy, as you'll be expected to gain a good understanding of 'the bigger picture' and how you can drive the team and products toward that.
• Experience working in a similar sector would be beneficial.
• Working with 'big data', as there is a lot of data innovation.
• Being able to rebuild platforms to make them more efficient, quicker, and more defined.
