Responsibilities:
Demonstrate empathy and provide thought leadership, expert technical guidance, and mentoring to a team of passionate engineers.
Coach, develop, and performance manage up to 10 engineers through regular one-on-one meetings and ongoing personal development plans
Establish a culture of high performance that drives forward the delivery of customer value
Set and drive forward engineering standards, with a key focus on quality.  Foster and maintain strong collaborative working practices with product, data science, UX, and customer-facing teams
Serve as a key member of the engineering management team to collectively address challenges, plan resourcing, and enhance our technical and people management best practices

Requirements:
Proven success in managing the technical performance and personal development of teams of engineers using coaching techniques to support their growth
Experience and enthusiasm to lead, support and develop technical teams towards success in their projects and individual careers
A strong set of principles aligned with our values, focused on your team and their personal performance, achievements and progression
Experience of working in a matrix structure and managing various levels of business stakeholders
A solid technical background in agile software development driving best practice and high performance
Experience being a key part in the success of projects, working collaboratively with colleagues in product, UX and data science teams.
