About Octopus Electroverse

We’re making electric vehicle ownership as smart and as simple as possible, by building the giant, virtual charging platform of the future.

In just over two years, Octopus Electroverse has grown to become one of the largest eMobility players in Europe, with over 650,000 connected electric vehicle chargers and a customer ecosystem spanning web, iOS, Android, CarPlay, Android Auto & Automotive OS, and more.

But it’s just the start: we’re busy launching in new countries, working with more automotive and tech partners, building exciting new features at scale, and creating the integrated charging experiences of the future - all in the name of making public EV charging super simple for customers.

Electroverse is a multifunctional team made up of product, development, commercial, operations, marketing, partnerships and more - all focused together on making Octopus the go-to name in EV charging. And we’re looking for smart individuals with an interest in the space who can help us make it happen.

We’re looking for a Technical Project Manager who’s excited to take responsibility for a core part of our business, and define how it evolves and scales to meet our global EV charging ambitions. The role will include speaking to and taking ownership of our external integrations with Charge Point Operators, monitoring and improving existing integrations, getting to grips with complex technical specifications, and evolving our partner product offering & technologies.

You will...

    • Lead on the core integrations that power our whole product: collaborating with colleagues from the partnerships and technical teams.
    • Take responsibility for delivering our integration platform as a product as we scale across the world: how can you improve the experience, features, and value offered to our charging partners.
    • Work with data teams to monitor & identify any issues and use product processes to prioritise these.
    • Maintain regular communication with our partner Charge Point Operators to improve integration quality and boost EV driver satisfaction.
    • Get to grips with Plug and Charge technology: its global development, rollout, and our partner and customer implementation.
    • Implement robust testing processes to ensure the reliability and stability of our integrations.
    • Maintain documentation which will be used by internal and external teams to ensure effective communication of integration requirements & processes.
    • Alongside the Lead Product Manager and Director of Electroverse help develop & prioritise product roadmaps.
    • Research the market and understand the technical requirements to find future opportunities.

What you'll have...

    • You’ll need to be a self-starter: you’re comfortable setting up new processes and working autonomously.
    • You’re a great communicator and enjoy speaking to external clients and stakeholders.
    • A demonstrated ability at working collaboratively with different team members to derive a comprehensive roadmap, which considers deliverable outcomes & technical restraints.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to interact with people with varying levels of technical knowledge.
    • Some experience or desire to learn project management skills. This includes the ability to work with external businesses and manage expectations.
    • SQL experience or a willingness to learn.
    • Experience with prioritisation frameworks.
    • Confident working in a dynamic environment: we’re constantly looking for ways we can improve and work more effectively. Experience in a fast-paced start-up or scale-up would be a plus.
    • An interest in green tech/renewable energy/electric vehicles!
