We need a super flexible, hands-on customer wiz. Being truly customer-centric means keeping an eye on customer feedback while you test new ideas for customer interaction and engagement. 

We react swiftly to new opportunities and often call for all hands on deck to make magic happen when the right opportunity arises. 

What you'll do

    • Own and build our engagement with our customer base at Octopus Energy for Business.
    • Design engaging customer plans to set us apart from the industry.
    • Be responsible for owning and running all customer programmes and portals.
    • Be reactive to meaningful opportunities for customers (we’re customer-centric through and through!) as well as for the growth of Octopus Energy. 
    • Identify audiences and design new advertising strategies. For this, you will have access to a wealth of data from our digital attribution platform, licensed databases, and our very own industry-disrupting platform, Kraken as well as the Google Marketing suite too. 
    • Be out meeting customers and getting new ideas for retaining our awesome customers.
    • Be comfortable dealing with external partners and running events.
    • Have the freedom to test your own ideas and work on them from concept to completion yourself. 
    • Be working for a company that’s fighting climate change. We’re the largest investor in solar generation in the UK, and are funding wind and anaerobic digestion. What you'll need

    • An open mind for learning new, unconventional ways of doing things.
    • A test and iterate mindset. We don’t expect you to have all the answers, but we do expect you to explore and find them. 
    • To be very customer-facing and cool with picking up the phone or jumping on the train to see a customer and understand more about how they work and how Octopus can help.
    • To be great at presenting and communicating for activations, ideally with some experience of running events too and simply bringing things to life across all channels.  
    • To be open to working outside conventional methods - we do stuff differently at Octopus and aren’t afraid of getting things wrong to help find the right answers. For this reason, you’ll need to be vigilant and proactive in spotting weak areas and suggesting solutions and improvements. You’ll also thrive outside your comfort zone.
