We are a technology company combining advanced AI with human intelligence and expertise to tackle harmful and problematic online content at scale. We want to provide everyone, from individual citizens to national governments, with the tools they need to identify and disarm damaging and misleading information.
Since we were founded in 2017, Logically has been working to protect democratic debate and process, and provide access to trustworthy information. Responsibilities
Work with engineering teams to help deliver high-impact and high-quality solutions by providing technical leadership and expertise, as well as hands-on engineering input
Use your expert knowledge and experience to lead architectural discussions for the more complex systems in the department, arriving at solutions that are robust and optimal given the context
Work with the engineering leadership and product leadership to ensure priority roadmap items are delivered, whilst ensuring the appropriate trade offs between cost, time, and completeness are considered
Understand several work-streams across your area keeping enough context to provide technical guidance to other engineers
Be a bar raiser for technical excellence and best engineering practice through your own work, highlighting the work of others and calling out when things haven't quite met the bar
Foster a culture of quality, championing measures to test work and encouraging ownership of the code they author
Mentor, sponsor and up-skill engineers
Requirements
6+ years working as a professional software developer including some time working in a data processing environment built within cloud technologies
Experience coding in Python, Node and TypeScript
Experience deploying pipelines in one of the major cloud platform providers such as AWS or GCP
Experience using a CI/CD framework such as GH Actions, Bamboo, Jenkins
Experience working across engineering teams, helping them to interface on projects
Experience deploying automated testing strategies
Knowledge of agile software development methodologies
Experience facilitating and guiding technical initiatives with cross-functional technical teams
