CBI Mission

Climate Bonds Initiative is an international organisation working solely to mobilise the largest capital market of all, the bond market, for climate change solutions.

Purpose

To provide expert Information Technology (I.T.) engineering services while helping to expand offerings, with an early emphasis on the implementation of a comprehensive Dynamics365-based CRM solution

The Systems Engineer will work closely with the Head of I.T. to develop and implement a strategy for new service implementation, migration, expansion, and consolidation of existing services. This role will initially focus on creative solutions for contact engagement via Dynamics 365 Sales and Marketing Modules, which cover multiple business processes and consolidate several disparate data sources through migration.

The Systems Engineer will collaborate with other Systems Engineers to evolve the technology design into practice, alternating delivery ownership and contributions within I.T. initiatives. The System Engineer will also assume responsibility for the implementation and planning of system changes and will act as a point of escalation from the Support Engineer for advanced technical issues, as needed.

Duties and responsibilities

1.Collaborate with the Head of I.T. and wider team to influence and enable a companywide digital transformation, contributing to improved processes and controls

2.Support the design and implementation of new or migrated service offerings, collaborating with the Head of I.T. and wider I.T. team to plan and subsequently ensure timely delivery of all deliverables

3.Ensure proper and secure storage, backup, and retrieval of data

4.Set up user services, ensuring security through device setup/management, access, controls, endpoint protection, and administration of cloud-based services

5.Develop expertise to provide preliminary training on the fundamental use of new technologies and updated software

6.Support the Head of I.T. with the centralisation of core I.T. services, completing system migrations and automating, where possible, core processes

7.Implement and document change, including mitigation strategies

8.Monitor service performance; diagnose and troubleshoot service issues

Requirements

Essential

  • Microsoft certified in at least two of the following: Azure AD (cloud), Dynamics, Security or SharePoint
  • Five years as a system Engineer or Administrator
  • A proven track record of process and project ownership, through the delivery phase
  • Administration of Dynamics 365 Sales Professional and Marketing
  • CRM migration
  • Basic MS SQL knowledge
  • Significant experience with Active Directory AD/AAD and Exchange or Exchange Online
  • Change control
  • OS X
  • Managing the consultation phase for new or enhanced service offerings
  • Organised, methodical, and logical with a can-do attitude
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solution focussed and creative
  • A good understanding of data schemas best practises
  • A good understanding of security best practises including audits process
  • Exchange Mailflow and delivery auditing
  • Ability to prioritise and manage and deliver on concurrent projects
  • Previous experience with technical documentation particularly related to change risk
  • A proven track record of project delivery / ownership combined with the ability to troubleshoot and design creative solutions
