About Us:

Join our growing scale-up company, VivaCity, as a Business Development Executive. We are a market-leading AI company empowering cities worldwide by providing local authorities and transport organisations with data-driven insights to support sustainability goals. As the market leader in the UK and with expanding operations in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and North America, exclusively targeting the Irish market, this is an exciting time to be part of our hyper-growth journey. As a dynamic and ambitious team, we value our company culture and foster a collaborative environment.

About the Role:

As a Business Development Executive, targeting UK and Ireland, you will be the frontline of our sales team, responsible for lead generation and establishing valuable client relationships in the UK and Irish market. Your role will involve opening doors, initiating high-quality appointments for Business Development Managers, and helping to drive positive change in our transport network. This target-driven position requires a go-getter attitude, resilience, and persistence. While an interest in technology, transport, or the urban environment is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite. You will collaborate with Business Development Managers and the Marketing Department while also exploring your own outreach tactics.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Delivering outreach campaigns, using sequences that are designed to demand engagement from our prospects.
    • Contacting prospects via calls, emails, and LinkedIn.
    • Using reporting insights to continually evolve and improve our outreach tactics, methods and sequences.
    • Understanding client pain points and securing new business sales appointments.
    • Independently conducting research on new clients and organisations.
    • Collaborating with Business Development Managers to identify high-potential prospects.
    • Providing marketplace feedback and competitor intelligence to internal teams.
    • Staying updated with relevant industry and government news.
    • Recording all activities in the central sales portal to generate valuable reports and insights.
    • Submitting correct and detailed supplier registrations on key online portals.

Requirements:

    • Minimum 6 months of work experience in a relevant sales role.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Tech-savviness and quick adaptability to sales platforms.
    • Ability to build relationships quickly over the phone, at all levels of seniority.
    • Strong research skills for identifying key prospects.
    • Track record of success in outbound prospecting or telemarketing.
    • Goal-oriented with a proven ability to meet sales targets.

    • Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications are highly valued:
    • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth start-up environments.
    • Understanding of complex, analytical technologies.
    • Knowledge of public sector procurement.
    • Familiarity with CRM platforms like HubSpot or Pipedrive.

What We Offer:

    • 25 days of holiday.
    • Flexible working hours and work-from-home options.
    • Up to 30 days per year of remote work.
    • 3% employer pension contribution.
