Job Title: Head of Marketing at Tandem Bank (Green/Sustainability Bank)
Location: we can support hybrid working from either our Manchester or London offices
Salary: £75,000 - £125,000 plus up to 30% yearly bonus and benefits
Working week: 36.25 hours, Monday to Friday

Most recently, Tandem acquired Loop, UK’s latest Fintech money sharing business. The addition of Loop to the bank’s award-winning digital offer, gives customers a unique way to borrow and lend from each other, while supporting the transition to a low carbon economy.

We are looking for a Head of Marketing to lead the Marketing function to ensure our brands are driving the commercial focuses of awareness, acquisition, engagement and growth.

Marketing / Brand Strategy and Management:

  • Develop and refine Tandem Bank's brand strategy (Tandem and Loop) to align with our green and
    sustainable values.
  • Oversee the consistent application of the brand across all touchpoints and communication channels.
  • Ensure the brand's visual and messaging elements resonate with our target audience.
  • Develop marketing plans to support the business growth: Acquisition, Engagement and Retention across
    B2B and B2C products and services.

Brand Awareness and Growth Marketing:

  • Create and execute marketing campaigns across our products, including Lending, Savings and Money Sharing, that drive customer acquisition and retention, keeping our green mission at the forefront.
  • Develop strategies to increase our market presence and brand recognition amongst our target audience both B2C customers, B2B prospects and internal audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between marketing efforts and business

Social Media and Digital Marketing:

  • Lead the development of a robust social media strategy that engages our audience and reflects our
  • Monitor digital marketing trends and identify opportunities to leverage emerging platforms for brand
  • Oversee the creation of compelling content that resonates with our target demographic.

Community Building and Green Marketplace:

  • Develop and implement strategies to build a thriving green community around Tandem Bank's mission.
  • Create and manage a green marketplace platform that offers sustainable financial products and services.
  • Collaborate with partners to expand the range of green offerings in the marketplace.

Budget Management:

  • Manage the marketing budget effectively, allocating resources to campaigns and initiatives that drive
    optimal results.
  • Implement tracking mechanisms to measure the ROI of marketing spend and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Develop business case opportunities for budget efficiency and growth to support Marketing plans.

Analytics and Performance Management:

  • Establish a robust analytics framework to measure the performance of marketing campaigns and
  • Utilise data insights to refine strategies, improve targeting, and enhance customer engagement.
  • Regularly report key performance metrics to the leadership team and suggest actionable improvements.

Agency Partnerships:

  • Manage relationships with external agencies to optimise campaign execution and creative output.
  • Collaborate with agencies to develop creative marketing solutions that align with our brand identity.

Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of marketing managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing
  • Provide guidance on campaign planning, execution, and performance analysis.
  • Facilitate professional development and growth opportunities for team members.

Voice of the Customer:

  • Gather and analyse customer insights to refine marketing strategies and improve the overall customer
  • Ensure that the customer's perspective is integrated into all marketing initiative


  • Minimum of 6-8 years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful brand strategies and marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of sustainable and green initiatives, with a passion for environmental conservation.
  • Experience managing agency relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a history of developing and empowering teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
