This is an exciting opportunity to join our Chief Digital Officer's growing team, leading our internal organisation, supporting strategy building and goal setting. The key objective of this new role is ensuring that we keep track and ensure that the team reaches the goals set under agile changing priorities. We measure success through increasing utilisation of our charge points and the number of new users we can reach.

The successful candidate will join a small, motivated development team where there is plenty of room to shape the future role. You will have a pivotal role, working across the whole digital function and different internal stakeholders. You will report directly to our Chief Digital Officer while working closely with Head of Product, the Digital team and across the organisation from time to time.

We are looking for a motivated individual, with PMO and Azure DevOps skills to manage our large projects, along with the day-to-day activities of our team and our partners. Work packages will need careful management from resource planning, time management, dependency management, re-evaluation and retrospective learning to ensure success. You will be comfortable managing the team’s work within Azure DevOps to ensure cross functional dependencies are understood and met. You will maintain the necessary sprint planning and weekly reporting of each of the team’s work packages to ensure they remain on track with the wider digital strategy of the business. Your careful curation of PMO and the onboarding of new tasks and work packages will directly help improve the reach of our EV network and further contribute to the decarbonisation of our world.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting our CDO, Head of Insights and Product Owners in keeping the overview over the current work of the wider team on status of work, back log reviews, dependency planning and reporting of risks and issues
  • Managing Mega Projects and Epics to draw out their interdependencies
  • Ensuring effective project delivery and timely resolution to issues
  • Identifying risks, issues and dependencies as well as opportunities and acting accordingly to ensure they are supported and resolved
  • Tracking and analysis of budgetary information across the project/programme portfolio
  • Conduct velocity monitoring / reviews and support the team to understand resource constraints before they occur
  • Support project and team budgeting cycles and working with key stakeholders to ensure we remain on track
  • Contributing to presentations and performance reporting for senior management
  • Planning and overseeing programmes and projects to ensure they are completed within the planned time frame, within budget plan and designated project resources
  • Monitoring progress, and keep stakeholders informed throughout projects, as well as setting up weekly review calls with all key stakeholders
  • Creating, detailing and executing the work package break down into Epic, Story and Task as required in DevOps. Revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements: assign tasks, manage day-to-day operational aspects
  • Assessing and prioritising wisely all incoming requests
  • Getting our PMO structure ready for scaling up significantly
  • Champion PMO office and tirelessly work toward the best technical outcome with the digital team
  • Inform the development and build of processes which help fulfil the function such as quality management, performance reporting and annual reports
  • Documentation and automation of successes, KPIs, monthly/quarterly reports
  • Maintain and build on the folder structure of the team’s documents.

Requirements

  • Advanced skills in project management, PMO tools with a focus on MS DevOps. DevOps experience preferred
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Motivated by quality, forward-planning, detail-oriented organization and looking for continuous improvements
  • Pro-active and collaborative working style
  • Experience (or strong interest) working with tech-teams
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in design thinking, product development or similar
  • Technical experience and understanding in OCPI and other EV sector standards is desirable
  • Qualifications such as Agile, Scrum or PMP is desirable.
  • GDPR and Data protection experience is desirable
