Description

Satellite Vu was founded in 2016 with the aim to fill the void in high resolution thermal data from space. It has, since then, turned into a high-growth space tech company poised to help the globe address its sustainability challenges through high-resolution thermal imaging. We are on a quest to ensure any structure on the planet is energy efficient and support the reduction of businesses’ carbon footprint. In near real-time, we will use infrared technology to monitor the Earth and will be able to assess and determine insights into economic activity. This will allow businesses to make decisions to reduce their climate impact.

WHAT YOU'LL BE GETTING INVOLVED IN
As an early stage business, you can expect your role to develop over time. However, some of the types of things you could be getting involved in are:

  • Contribute to the development of automated QA solutions within the tech team
  • Work with the team to ensure QA is at the heart of the software production lifecycle
  • Work closely with the product team to understand features on the product roadmap, to ensure best in class QA solutions are delivered alongside
  • Keep up to date with best practice within the QA community


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrable experience in developing test automation using Javascript/Typescript (Cypress, Playwright)
  • Experience in testing APIs and UI applications
  • Detail oriented, highly adaptable and acts as a customer advocate for quality
  • Take ownership of validating features and test automation from planning, test execution to release
  • Participation in test design discussions with the team, playing a role in test architecture/framework decisions
  • Understanding of microservice architecture and Cloud (i.e. AWS)
  • Experience in continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) systems e.g. Gitlab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins

HOW WE WILL INTERVIEW YOU:

  • Call with our People Director to discuss the role and learn more about you and your requirements (30 minutes)
  • Call with the hiring manager to discuss the role and your experience in more detail (45 minutes)
  • Technical interview with 2 members of the hiring team (1 hour)
  • Informal chat with wider team members (30-45 minutes)
