Your role in our mission

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Collections Strategy Analyst. Reporting to the Collections Strategy Manager.  This role sits within the Collections team at SF.

The essentials

  • You have experience in Collections within a Financial Services or FinTech company offering products to consumers (preferably unsecured lending).
  • You have strong analytical skills which must include SQL
  • You can turn data into insights that drive positive outcomes for both the customer and the company
  • You have experience of designing and implementing collections strategies at each stage of the collections life cycle
  • You have experience of building strong relationships and working closely with collections operations colleagues to ensure the success of the collections strategy
  • You have a good understanding of the regulatory environment, especially around vulnerable customer treatment and Consumer Duty
  • You have a good understanding of the control environment required to run collections operations and the execution of collections strategy effectively and efficiently
  • You are commercially minded with experience analysing data and setting Collections strategies that continuously improve customer and financial (impairment) outcomes
  • You have strong communication skills 
  • You are passionate about businesses that deliver social impact with a strong desire to help grow a business that delivers a meaningful difference to society
  • You have a degree educated in a STEM or a quantitative subject

What you’ll do

  • Design, implement and monitor collections strategies with a continuous improvement approach
  • Ensure that the business has appropriate Collections MI and reporting to track performance and drive improvements
  • Contribute to the strategy and process for regular debt sales and the optimal timing for their execution to maximise returns for the business and maintain good customer outcomes
  • Drive the enhancement of our Collections activity monitoring capabilities to ensure our Collections strategy is executed as planned and performs within expectations and in line with our relevant policies
  • Contribute to initiatives that develop the data and technical environment for collections at SF
  • Contribute to strong analytics, insights and reporting to keep partners and debt funders informed and up-to-date with Collections performance and any planned changes that might impact that performance
  • Drive controlled automation of existing processes and the creation of new more efficient processes to allow sustainable scaling of the team
  • Support the planning, break-even analysis and execution of spot and forward flow debt sales for non-performing loans
