Who are Spring?

Spring is a green mission-led start-up with a team of 50+ talented people.

Our mission is to change the way we all use technology, as everyday thousands of forgotten tech devices waste potential, lose value and add pressure on the planet. The world currently generates 50 million tonnes of e-waste every year and that figure is set to double by 2050.

We;re challenging customer buying behaviours, encouraging people to give tech a new life while saving the environment by reducing e-waste going into landfills and the CO2 emissions. You can now easily trade in your old tech, through our self-service machines (Pods) and our reusable postal pouches, Spring Post.

We have already gained some serious Series A private equity funding and secured contracts with national retailers, Morrisons & Co-Op.

The role:

As a Senior Product Designer at Spring, you'll work on a healthy blend of greenfield projects and continuous development. These include our website, our self-service Pods and Spring Post. You'll collaborate with our UX researchers to gather customer insights and crucial feedback. Using these insights, you will develop user experiences that will solve complex user issues and encourage people to use our service. Creating user personas, wireframes, prototypes and then working closely with other designers, you'll oversee the delivery of these products, from conceptualisation to launch.

As a Senior within the team, you'll contribute towards the overall design system for Spring, alongside the Head of Design, applying best UX approaches and design thinking to create great experiences.

• have an interest in mentoring other designers on the team, sharing knowledge and your expertise with the junior designers
