What is Sylvera anyway? ‍👩‍👨🌳
Sylvera provides carbon data for genuine climate impact. Our mission is to incentivize investment in real climate action.

Purchasing credits through the carbon markets is one of the most established and scalable ways to channel finance from the private sector to effective climate solutions and work toward societal net zero. Unfortunately, the voluntary carbon markets have been plagued with mistrust and a lack of effectiveness since they’ve emerged – until Sylvera.

To help organizations ensure they're making the most effective investments, Sylvera builds software that independently and accurately automates the evaluation of carbon projects that capture, remove, or avoid emissions. With Sylvera's data and tools, businesses and governments can confidently invest in, benchmark, deliver, and report real climate impact.

Our team is made up of the leading minds in climate change from scientists to academics. We work in partnership with scientific organisations, universities, governments and think tanks to develop and test rigorous and holistic ratings methodologies, leveraging the latest technology. Founded in 2020, Sylvera has 150+ employees across the world with offices in London, New York and Belgrade. We’ve raised over $96million from leading VCs like Balderton Capital, Index Ventures and Insight Partners to date.

What will I be doing? ‍‍👩‍💻👨‍💻
Having found an early product-market fit in a nascent, rapidly growing space, we’re now scaling our marketing and commercial teams at pace. We’re looking for a mission-driven, visual designer to join our design function and contribute to the creation of high-quality assets to elevate Sylvera’s presence to a higher level.

    • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and concurrent project timelines
    • Collaborate on, and maintain consistency for our proposal decks, pitching processes, and any other presentations to potential clients.
    • Create visual rules and consistency in how we display and talk about our work and bring our product to life
    • Ability to translate complex and abstract concepts into impactful visuals that are easy to understand.
    • Work closely with the product design team to make sure all design materials are consistent.

Communicate the brand and product narrative through a variety of assets across a variety of channels; this includes but isn't limited to:

    • Research reports & landing pages for PR and Brand. New website pages and improvements. Commercial and technical presentations
    • Paid campaigns and email templates for Demand Generation
    • Social media graphics (still +gif+video)
    • Video editing
    • Motion graphics

We’re looking for someone who: 🧠💚

    • Cares deeply about the climate and ecosystems of the earth
    • Is a self-starter who thrives in constantly evolving environments, ideally with early-stage start-up experience
    • Has excellent design and communication skills and a passion for both form & function — it's imperative our assets fulfil marketing objectives, whether it's raising brand awareness or driving clicks/downloads
    • Is aware of digital design best practices (ie optimizing for mobile, speed etc)
    • Data visualization skills are a major plus!
    • Has 3-5 min years of design experience.
    • Is proficient in working with Figma and Adobe CS
    • Has razor-sharp attention to detail on top of your exceptional typography and layout skills
    • A creative approach to responding to briefs - you're able to think deeply and lead on ideas - exceeding expectations, rather than simply executing.
