About your new role

As part of our continued growth we are seeking an automation software tester to join our team on a permanent basis. We have seen an increase in activity in this space, due to new legislations and organisations becoming engaged in both understanding their suppliers and proactively working to build sustainable, ethical and responsible supply chains.

We are looking for an experienced software tester to work within diverse project teams with some of our global clients. As a software tester you will be testing our web-based applications, writing test scripts, investigating, recreating and testing potential bugs as well as regression testing. With your experience, you will help drive the team's transition to automated regression software testing.

The software tester will work within a project team, testing web based solutions to ensure that our software is developed to the highest standards. Within this role you will have a key focus on the security, service availability and quality of the system. Our project teams consist of developers, software testers, project managers, business analysts, client managers and translators. This means that you will have the opportunity to develop your skills within a diverse environment where you can learn from those around you and mentor others. You will attend regular team stand ups, offer feedback to peers and communicate with the testing lead as well as the project manager and developers on a regular basis. We aim to foster a collaborative, open working environment where questions and ideas are welcomed.

Key Responsibilities will also include;

  • Executing test scripts to identify bugs, issues and problems as may be identified
  • Producing technical procedures and documentation for the applications including user guides
  • Producing testing reports
  • Writing test scripts and testing estimations
  • Creating test data
  • Peer reviews and mentoring of junior members of the team
  • Robust testing of system prior to implementation in accordance with testing and acceptance methodologies as may be required
  • Automated Regression testing
  • Accessibility testing
  • Security testing
  • Attend team meetings
  • Estimate stories

Requirements


To apply for this role candidates will have:

  • Experience in a manual testing role
  • Experience with automated regression testing
  • Experience of delivering end to end testing in development lifecycle
  • Experience working within agile formats
  • Experience or willingness to mentor junior team members
  • Ability to deal with your own workload and priorities based on the needs of the project.
  • Being able to communicate openly and professionally within your team.
  • Passionate about your role and express ideas to your team.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and also as part of a team.

Desirable but not essential for the role:

  • Experience with API Testing
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of automation with Selenium web drivers, Java Script
  • Experience with postman
  • Experience working with: HTML, CSS
  • Experience of communicating with customers and stakeholders
  • Experience in mentoring or leading junior testers
  • ISTQB certified or working towards
