Software Tester
NQC is a successful and growing software company specialising in supply chain risk management platforms. We’re in the ‘Tech for Good’ space, providing online web platforms which are in use by some of the largest organisations across a number of industries including the UK Government and the Automotive industry.
Based in central Manchester, NQC offers a supportive working atmosphere within a diverse team of people. We work on a hybrid model and regularly meet up outside of the office for team socials and company events. This is an opportunity to work on globally recognised technology solutions used by major brands throughout the world and become part of an exciting long term plan for sustainability, and a better future.
About your new role
As part of our continued growth we are seeking a software tester to join our team on a permanent basis. We have seen an increase in activity in this space, due to new legislations and organisations becoming engaged in both understanding their suppliers and proactively working to build sustainable, ethical and responsible supply chains.
We are looking for an experienced software tester to work within diverse project teams with some of our global clients. As a software tester you will be testing our web-based applications, writing test scripts, investigating, recreating and testing potential bugs as well as regression testing.
The software tester will work within a project team, testing web based solutions to ensure that our software is developed to the highest standards. Within this role you will have a key focus on the security, service availability and quality of the system. Our project teams consist of developers, software testers, project managers, business analysts, client managers and translators. This means that you will have the opportunity to develop your skills within a diverse environment where you can learn from those around you and mentor others. You will attend regular team stand ups, offer feedback to peers and communicate with the testing lead as well as the project manager and developers on a regular basis. We aim to foster a collaborative, open working environment where questions and ideas are welcomed.
