We are looking for a creative Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to manage our Cloud infrastructure and devops activities.In this role, your duties will include developing software and configuring systems, and performing diagnostic tests throughout the stages of development and management of infrastructure.
To ensure success as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you should demonstrate extensive experience in DevOps, cloud engineering. Outstanding cloud infrastructure engineers optimize and enhance a company's software performance.

Your Day-to-day the work will encompass:
It’s hard to describe the breadth and depth for this role but here are the key points:
- Problem-Solving abilities ,with day to day task from our stakeholders
- Cloud creation, maintaining, and patching (Using Terraform as IaaC)
- Maintaining and improving the existing cloud infrastructure
- Providing your technical expertise in improving, updating and securing ZAVA’s cloud infrastructure
- Be a subject matter expert and apply the latest DevOps and infrastructure as a code (IaaC) practices
- Communication and Collaboration and Understanding the needs of stakeholders
- Support of the rest of engineering teams by deploying requested tools and assisting with DevOps issues.Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
- Review and approve Pull Requests /code written by team members to ensure code quality and right first time implementation
- Support ZAVA in maintaining ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials+ compliance by ensuring systems are secure and security guidelines are followed
- Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’.Active participation in team agile ceremonies such as standups, planning, backlog refinement etc
- Creating clear and precise documentation of new and existing infra solutions and architecture
- Measure and optimise system performance by monitoring performance metrics
- Project Involvement and meet the agreed goals
- Work with the rest of the team towards delivering Cloud Infrastructure strategy and Roadmap
- Adaptability and Resilience
- Optimise cloud infrastructure’s logging , auditing and monitoring
- Drive incidents and reduce the impact

Experience and qualifications:
- Be passionate about DevOps practices and culture.
- Advanced knowledge of cloud computing (AWS) Serverless, EC2, Cloud Networking and ECS.
- Proficiency in IaaC technologies such as Terraform, Ansible .
- Advanced knowledge of programming languages such as Python and Typescript.
- Ability to ensure smooth software deployment by writing script updates and running diagnostics.
- Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.Security driven mindset.
- Good knowledge of logging , auditing and monitoring for our our infrastructure .
- CI/CD .
- Continuous Learning Mindset, should have the ability to keep up with software development trends and innovation.
- Have curiosity and drive to solve and troubleshoot complex puzzles.
- Be passionate about DevOps practices and culture.
Added bonus if you have experience:
- Experience in a strongly regulated industry , for ex : healthcare field.

Core working hours
Our core business hours are 10am - 4pm. How you make up the rest of the hours, to make a total of 40 hours per week, is up to you!
