Your role in our mission 

We are looking for an exceptional Credit Risk Manager to be part of our amazing business and help us develop the credit risk function. You will work closely with teams such as Commercial, Finance, Marketing and Product. This role will report to the Head of Credit Risk.

The essentials 

  • You have 5+ years of work experience in Credit Risk roles and of them 3+ years of managing small teams. 
  • You work in Consumer and or Commercial lending space for 5+ years 
  • Expert skills using SQL to retrieve and analyse data from a database 
  • You have experience managing credit risk portfolios through a 3rd party partnership (dealer, broker, retail, aggregators etc). 
  • You have strong experience developing Credit Risk MI and have strong analytical capabilities, able to interrogate data, produce analytics and turn these into meaningful insights and recommendations. 
  • You have experience in creating strategies for either Acquisition or Account management. You have experience in stakeholder management, and translating your findings into actionable insights
  • You have real enthusiasm to work in a fast growth fintech - you will thrive if you are a self-motivated, fast-paced, action oriented, “roll your sleeves up and get-things-done” 

The “good to haves” but not essential 

  • You have experience in unsecured loans. 
  • You have experience in pricing. 
  • You have experience in supporting scorecard development and monitoring. You are comfortable working with Google Suite tools.

What you’ll do 

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders and teams to help drive the development and improvement of the Employer Risk function and revive the Aggregators channel. Work with a Commercial team to assess the Risk of opening a new partner (Employer) and monitoring the relationship during the years. 
  • Develop, automate Credit Risk MI across our products to drive efficient insights for Credit Risk Decisions.
  • Provide analysis and insights into credit performance, partnership/customer behaviour and profitability in order to shape and recommend value-creating lending strategies. Support the creation of various Committee and Board materials regularly where we communicate to the Board and the wider business how our portfolio is performing and propose improvements to our credit strategy from an Employer and Aggregators perspective. Work closely with the data scientists to drive the development of third parties scorecards and scorecard monitoring.
  • Assist with relevant data requests and Credit Risk insights across the business to ensure accurate data and robust insights feed into other parts of the business. 
  • Support necessary changes to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance. 
  • Work within cross-functional squads to deliver key business initiatives.
