What we do

At Perlego, there are over 120 of us working hard to make education accessible to all. We believe access to good quality affordable learning unlocks potential. Knowledge should be more accessible, not locked behind sky-high price tags.

Last year, we expanded our library to make over 1 million books affordable for learners, earned a 100% Gold ASPIRE rating for accessibility and reached over 15 million people. The next stage of Perlego is twofold: 1) expand our support to students and publishers globally, and 2) build a product that goes beyond the book, a platform that helps students study smarter and educators teach more effectively.

What we’re looking for

A dedicated and results-driven Performance Marketing Manager to join our team. In this role you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our direct-to-consumer (DTC) subscribers and managing our paid performance budget across multiple markets. Your primary focus will be on managing paid acquisition channels, with a deep expertise in Paid Search (SEM) being essential for success in this role.

How we work together

We work in a matrix structure and we organise ourselves into cross-functional tribes working together on common goals, with each tribe focusing on a specific domain and including all the necessary roles and skills to deliver on our objectives

You will be a key part of our cross-functional Consumer tribe, working closely with two Agile Product squads as well as our team of expert Marketeers to drive growth in our DTC channel.

What you’ll do:

  • Utilise financial modelling and forecasting techniques to support budget allocation decisions and growth projections.
  • Support our international market expansion by collaborating with our Region Leads to grow Perlego across different markets, identifying new channels or optimising existing ones to work their best in each market.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop compelling ad copy and creative assets that resonate with target audiences.
  • Plan and execute A/B tests to improve campaign performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with our Product team to optimise key user journeys & touchpoints for both new customer acquisition and retention.
  • Own and develop key partnerships with third parties (Google, agencies, key affiliate partners)
  • Responsible for managing and optimising the paid performance budget across various markets, ensuring efficient allocation and maximum ROI.
  • Analyse campaign and catalogue performance, leveraging data and insights to make data-driven decisions, identify new growth opportunities and optimise strategies.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and KPI dashboards to track and communicate campaign performance to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • At least several years of experience in performance marketing, with a deep expertise in Paid Search (SEM)
  • Experience in keyword research, account structure, campaign optimisation, and bidding strategies
  • Strong analytical skills - you are comfortable working with large quantities of data and are adept at pulling key insights out of it
  • You love solving large complex paid search challenges
  • Experience managing and optimising other non-search paid acquisition channels such as Paid Social and Affiliates.
  • Proficiency in utilising digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, SEMRush, Google Analytics).
  • Strong financial modelling and forecasting skills.
  • Proficiency in using Gsheets and SQL for data analysis and reporting
