What we do

At Perlego, there are over 100 of us working hard to make education accessible to all. We believe access to good quality affordable learning unlocks potential. Knowledge should be more accessible, not locked behind sky-high price tags.

Last year, we expanded our library to make over 1 million books affordable for learners, earned a 100% Gold ASPIRE rating for accessibility and reached over 15 million people. The next stage of Perlego is twofold: 1) expand our support to students and publishers globally, and 2) build a product that goes beyond the book, a platform that helps students study smarter and educators teach more effectively.

What we’re looking for

A confident and organised Account Manager to help join our Content team and help us acquire, manage and grow publisher relationships in English-speaking territories. Our publishing partners are vital to our work and we want to help them be successful on Perlego, reaching new audiences and markets that they otherwise might not be able to access.

We’re looking for a strong collaborator who can work closely with stakeholders in the Content team and our Content Operations Prod-Eng squad to deliver a holistic publisher-centred experience.

We’re searching for someone to act as the “voice of the publisher” within Perlego, using their time strategically to maximise user reading minutes, handle end-to-end publisher relationships and acquire key content.

What you’ll do

  • Be responsible for publisher success - for example making sure key texts are made available on Perlego and publicised widely, that publishers get paid royalties and receive key insights to help define their product roadmap.
  • Act as a key point of contact for publisher first-line support; supporting with queries and looking for opportunities to improve the publisher experience
  • Look after content auditing and activation, co-developing automated processes to help our content operations scale.
  • Collaborate across the business, from Content through to Product and Engineering, as well as Finance, SEO, Sales and Marketing.
  • Responsible for acquiring key content from new and existing publishers of strategic importance.

Requirements

It’s the perfect role for you if you have:

  • A background in sales, with commercial and negotiation experience
  • A track record of relationship building and strong people skills – you’ll need to be able to establish and earn professional trust
  • A strong ability to track and meet deadlines; excellent prioritisation and time-management skills; able to juggle multiple accounts, contacts and initiatives simultaneously
  • Evidence of a proactive and strategic approach to managing a portfolio of opportunities
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • A data-driven approach, with strong analytical capabilities and the, ability to draw insights from data
  • A passion for books and learning

✨ It’s a big plus if you have:

  • Previous account management/external stakeholder experience
  • Previous project management skills
  • Previous experience of working with publishers
