Your role in our mission

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Product Designer to join our dynamic and innovative Product Design team, contributing to shaping both the user experience and visual design of our products.

About Product Design team

We are a tightly-knit, highly collaborative Product Design team that comes together to shape, develop, and bring to life all user-facing elements of Salary Finance products. 

Product Designers serve as strategic allies to both Engineering and Product Management within a dedicated product domain. Through our tight integration with the Product team, we play a pivotal role in shaping the user experiences that define interactions with Salary Finance products.

What you’ll do

• You'll play a central role within our Product team, deeply involved in all aspects of the product design process, from its inception through the entire lifecycle.
• Your role will entail advocating for a user-centric approach, leveraging insights about our users to inform and enhance our product decisions. Collaborating closely with Product Managers, developers, and other stakeholders, you'll ensure that the entire product experience meets the needs of our users and aligns with project feasibility.
• In addition, you'll be a key contributor to the evolution of our design system, ensuring it adheres to industry best practices while embodying our brand's distinct identity. This involves partnering with fellow Designers to refine and expand our design resources, establishing a unified visual language that reinforces our product's identity and elevates the user experience.
• Furthermore, you'll take on a vital role in advocating for the value of product design throughout the organisation. By conducting workshops, sharing insights, and offering guidance to other teams and departments, you'll actively contribute to raising the level of UX maturity across the entire organisation. This collaborative effort will empower all teams to embrace user-centric practices and collectively enhance our products.
• You'll be an integral member of a team of Designers driven by a passion for learning and growth, all dedicated to creating exceptional products. Beyond delivering outstanding work, you'll also have the opportunity to influence and refine our overall design strategy, further enhancing our collective approach to design.

About you 

• You are passionate about businesses that deliver social impact and aim to contribute to a business that makes a meaningful difference to society.
• You have at least five years of Product Design experience, consistently delivering world-class user experiences.
• You thrive on collaboration, helping translate great ideas and insights into reality.
• You're commercially aware, recognising the importance of your work in contributing to the business's success and growth.
• You can lead the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation to prototyping and implementation, with a user-centred approach and a focus on high-quality outcomes.
• You are skilled at creating visually appealing user interfaces, but you prioritise the overall user experience.
• You're empathetic, continuously seeking to understand users and crafting features that bring value to their lives effectively.
• You're a great problem solver, able to articulate the 'why' behind your decisions, not just the 'what.'
• You can adapt your design processes to suit different situations, acknowledging that the perfect process varies depending on circumstances.
• You've worked on both websites and mobile applications, understanding the unique requirements of each.
• You possess strong communication and presentation skills, enabling effective collaboration and idea sharing.

Awesome if

• You have experience in developing and implementing design systems, ensuring consistency and efficiency in product design and development.
• You have experience in front-end development, enabling you to collaborate effectively with development teams.

• Portfolio Presentation - 60 mins 
• Design Challenge - 60 mins 
• In person interview with Hiring Manager, Head of Department, Stakeholder, and / or Team -  60 mins
