Ideagen is looking for an Account Executive (AE) who is a natural hunter and is excited to work for a growing technology company. The primary role of the AE is to generate and close pipeline in target markets through solution selling to the environmental, health and safety (EHS) small-to-medium sized business market (SMB). This role works with prospective customers to determine software and service requirements and ensure the Ideagen EHS Business Line products are a good match for the customer’s needs. This role also works closely with Marketing to identify prospects, messaging, content creation, and events to successfully identify and progress pipeline in target markets.

Our ideal candidate will have superb communication and relationship building skills and have 3-5 years’ experience in B2B SaaS software selling. Familiarity with the EHS market  and EHS software is a requirement. All applicants should demonstrate a passion for learning about the industries we serve, digital products we provide and the important role and strategic value of EHS. They will demonstrate independent decision making and time management skills, with the ability to take ownership of projects and see the results of their efforts. Ideal candidates would have experience and a comfortability in working the full sales lifecycle of prospecting to closing.

Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct self-driven research and understanding of our clients’ challenges and changes to the industries in which we sell and partner
    • Responsible for prospecting, qualifying and closing new business to meet annual goals set by
    • the Global VP of EHS Sales and overall business plan
    • Works with and collaborates across all teams within the EHS business line to define plans for new business prospecting, lead generation, pipeline management and closing deals. It is expected that the AE will self-prospect in addition to the leads provided via marketing
    • Understand target markets and how Ideagen Products benefit these markets to meet
    • compliance and quality needs
    • Ensure all communications and opportunity progression with leads and prospects and opportunity progress (both direct and via reseller) are kept current in CRM (Salesforce)
    • Help drive a cohesive sales and marketing approach to target markets
    • Works with internal team to ensure marketing materials and tactics are on message

Knowledge & Experience

    • Minimum of 3 years of success in a SaaS (or full cycle) sales role
    • Highly developed oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to seek out and build lasting relationships
    • Able to work on a team or individually:

    • Accepts and responds to feedback quickly and positively
    • Passion for continuous learning
    • Understanding of both the EHSS tactical and strategic challenges and regulations within the industries Ideagen serves
    • Passion for continuous learning
    • B.S. degree in Business Management, Engineering, Sciences or the equivalent work experience desired
    • Experience selling to or within regulated industries desired
