About the company:

Twinkl is a renowned global digital educational publisher committed to providing high-quality teaching materials and support to educators. With a mission to help those who teach, our extensive range of teacher-created content includes schemes of work, lesson planning, assessments, online educational games, apps, and augmented reality experiences. In collaboration with Vitruvian Partners, our recent partnership enables us to further explore innovative avenues and expand our support to the global teaching community.

About the Role:

As a Data Science Intern at Twinkl, you'll join a team of 20+ data scientists, analysts and statisticians. You'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a range of data science projects, helping us to ensure that we derive maximum value from our rich and varied datasets. Our work ranges from ensuring the entire business has the data they need to make data-driven decisions; to maximising subscription uptake measures like retention, upgrade, winback and activation rates; to optimising onsite customer experiences through personalised algorithms.

To ensure you get off to a strong start, you'll participate in an 8-week induction program under the mentorship of one of our senior data scientists. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to familiarise yourself with key technologies such as SQL, Python, Tableau, and BigQuery, and embrace data-led ways of working. Most importantly, you’ll be able to put these skills to the test on real business problems. After this, you’ll be assigned to one of our teams to work alongside our network of experienced data scientists in that area.

This is an exciting opportunity to put theoretical knowledge into a real-world setting. After successful completion of this fully paid 6-month internship, you’ll have the opportunity to apply to join us as a permanent member of staff.
