We’re looking for a Marketing Engagement Assistant to join our Brand Marketing team here at Twinkl.

As a Marketing Engagement Assistant at Twinkl you’ll be working primarily within our well established Facebook community but also across our other social media platforms to deliver our engagement strategy which is focused on developing brand awareness, building relationships with our audiences and growing our brand equity across social platforms and beyond.

You will work as part of a wider social media team, creating reactive, relevant and engaging content, copywriting, scheduling, promoting Twinkl resources and interacting with our customers across our brand social channels. You will use your channel to experiment with new content, recording and analysing performance data at a basic level to report to your manager lead and sharing insights with the wider team.

Your insights will be vital in informing our content across all of our social media channels.

You’ll anticipate responses, understand and plan how to keep conversations flowing on a one-to-one and one-to-many basis. More than that, you’ll be able to react and respond appropriately in real time. Our social media spaces are a happy and supportive place but you’ll also need to be able to respond to challenges and deal with the occasional prickly situation - we all know what social media can be like from time to time.

You’ll be great at communicating and have an in-depth understanding of the Twinkl brand and tone of voice, and will be able to adapt this to fit the needs of our customers - as well as crafting and developing our tone of voice, moving it forwards.


Ongoing projects/how you’ll spend your day:

  • Setting strategies and creating content for community engagement in groups and across brand channels.
  • Providing insights and content to be cascaded out through BAU content.
  • Coordinating social media ‘tests’ for content.
  • Supporting on community engagement through brand social media channels
  • Working with global teams to develop best practices to create communities in localised markets.
  • Providing out of hours cover for social channels and group moderation
  • Reporting on impact of engagement work.

Requirements

Core skills:

  • Excellent organisational skills and a good understanding of social media
  • Excellent spelling, punctuation and grammar
  • Experience in a previous marketing or social media role
  • Goal oriented and results focused.
  • Proven track record of delivering engaging and creative communications
  • Good understanding of Google Analytics and Data Studio
  • Goal-oriented and results focused

  • Is good fun to be with and has the ability to communicate well with others
  • Is organised, able to work to deadlines, and manages time effectively
  • Able to communicate with colleagues and our external partners effectively, both written and verbally
