Development ManagerEqual Education Partners

Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom 10-11-2023

Description

Join an organisation that makes headlines for the right reasons, and have a positive impact on the ‘brain drain’ in Wales.

It has been an exciting time for Darogan Talent.

We have received investment from Equal Education Partners, our list of partner organisations is growing, we have some exciting projects in the pipeline and we’ve been out on the road meeting students across the UK letting them know about what Wales has to offer.

But perhaps most exciting of all, we are now looking for somebody to join the team!

About us

Darogan Talent is the graduate hub for Wales that takes a student/graduate-centred approach to support organisations in Wales to access great talent.

We do this through our:

  • Job board, advertising a range of opportunities in Wales
  • Members area, which allows students and graduates to connect with one another and employers
  • Events (online and in person) promoting opportunities in Wales directly to students and graduates
  • Research and consultation support

About the role

Darogan Talent will be delivering a project for the ARFOR region (Anglesey, Gwynedd, Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire), which will require travelling to these areas, as well as universities based outside of Wales, to promote career opportunities in the region. This project requires a Welsh speaker and so we are looking for someone who can work through the medium of Welsh. Occasional travelling will also be required, and access to your own vehicle would be helpful (but not essential).

As a new business, we are also looking for candidates that can help shape the company from its earliest stages, and develop its culture, processes and strategy. We are looking for somebody who will be a future leader in the company, and who will eventually manage others as we grow. Relevant industry experience, therefore, would be advantageous.

How to apply

Please send your CV in English or Welsh to Owain James (owain.james@darogantalent.cymru), with a covering letter in Welsh explaining:

  1. Why you are interested in applying for this role
  2. How you would support Darogan Talent to develop and grow through your knowledge, skills and experience

Please feel free to get in touch to ask any questions about the role.

We will be considering applications on a rolling basis, so send in your application as soon as you can!

Deadline date: 9am Monday, 27 November 2023

Requirements

Darogan Talent is at a stage where a range of skills will be valuable. What we are really looking for is a quick learner, who will have a go at a range of tasks, and who is passionate about the work we are doing. So if you have some (or all!) of the following skills and experience we want to hear from you:

  • Event management
  • Business development
  • Digital marketing
  • Research and consultancy support
  • Recruitment experience
  • Tender / Bid writing
  • Back office processes
  • Finance / Budgeting
  • UX / Service design

We are formally based in Cardiff, but most of the work can be delivered remotely and we encourage applications from candidates across Wales.
