Events Executive

Reports to: Head of Marketing & Communications

Location: Hybrid (Newmarket) 2-days on-site, 2-days WFH

Hours: 32 hours across a 4-day week (no salary sacrifice) with additional flexi hours considered

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

Job snapshot:

As Wonde’s Events Executive, you’ll work to deliver brand awareness and effective communication of solutions and services managing all external events, exhibitions and conference calendar around the world.

You’ll have the opportunity to support existing events as well as the execution of new occassions with the autonomy and freedom to get creative with your ideas and plans.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Partner with the marketing team to achieve the marketing objectives by contributing new ideas and helping to plan marketing activities
  • Event research, planning, development and implementation, considering time and budget commitments
  • Project management of each event to ensure it is planned and executed well
  • To successfully manage suppliers and partners associated with event planning
  • Ensure events are supported with a robust communication plan including internal intranet, social media and others
  • Event follow-up, debrief and analysis.
  • Contribution to budget planning, monitoring ongoing (and final) spend, to ensure the best possible ROI for events

Requirements

What we’re hoping you’ll bring:

  • Demonstrable experience in an events-focused role with trade show experience
  • Demonstrable experience with budget management
  • Demonstrable experience creating and building out event floorplans
  • The ability to create and deliver ideas that complement the company’s objectives
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work against defined objectives and deadlines
  • Strong listening and communication skills with the ability to collaborate and build positive relationships internally and externally
  • A great team player, capable of working closely with different people and organisations to achieve objectives
  • Self-motivation with the confidence and enthusiasm to take the initiative and get things done
  • Ability to prioritise workflow
  • Demonstrable experience with core marketing competencies and practices
